About

Hi all! I’m Andie – a self-taught sewist and artist. I live in Ottawa, Ontario. Canada, and have lived in several provinces on the east coast of Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland) and several cities in Ontario. I perform improv comedy online. My sewing ranges from costumes/casual cosplay to vintage dresses to everyday basics to bramaking. My art is focused on flora and fauna. I love creating room interiors and sketching out sewing designs.

In 2016, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I  advocate for disability and chronic illness awareness, as well as blogging about sewing accessible garments. Human rights are not up for debate in my space. I also manage the Instagram account @chronicallysewn for sewists with disability and chronic physical and mental illnesses.

I am married to a wonderful person, Velvet, and I identify as queer, bisexual and genderqueer. My pronouns are they/them.
